About Kathy Long
Sifu Kathy Long ("Sifu Kat) is the Co-Chief Instructor of Seattle Wushu Center. She is a retired kickboxing champion, MMA competitor, pro boxer and actress. Her other martial arts training includes a black belt in Aikido, Master rank in Kung Fu San Soo, and has studied Kali, Brazilian Jujitsu, and Mixed Martial arts.
While in her active kickboxing career, she was one of the top female fighters in the sport's history. She compiled an 18–1 record, winning 5 world titles in the process, and earning several nicknames including the "Queen of Mean", "Princess of Pain", and "The Punisher".[
Sifu Kat's film career includes "The Stranger" (starring role), "Knights" (starring role), "Under the Gun", "Art of submission", "Santa's Summer House", and more; and has been credited for fight choreography for several films . She is the co-host of Dynamic Dojo Talkradio, a martial arts podcast, with Sifu Restita DeJesus. She is an ordained interfaith minister and healing arts practitioner.
