Lori O’Connell is a martial artist and instructor with 30 years experience in Can-Ryu, a style of Japanese Jiu-Jitsu oriented toward self-defense and law enforcement. She has also trained in countless other martial arts, including Filipino martial arts, boxing/kickboxing, BJJ/MMA, Gong fu, Taichi, Karate, Aikido, Taekwondo, Wing Chun, etc.Â
Lori has also worked as a stunt performer for the film industry for over 12 years on a wide variety of films and TV series', including Siren, The Haunting of Bly Manor, Umbrella Academy, Gen V, Joy Ride, Avatar: The Last Airbender, Once Upon a Time, The Predator, The Descendants 2, Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency, and more.
Recently moved from Vancouver to Ottawa, Lori is currently building her new home and future dojo in Burnstown, ON, Canada.
